2nd visit

For today’s visit I aimed to get there slightly earlier so I had a bit of day light left while still doing an early evening observation.

I arrived at about 16:30 and it had a number of people around along with a Scottish Piper

Again there were groups of tourists who took photos of the old town but also photos the piper, the castle and the gardens below. 

Once again nothing of noted interest happened, much to my disappointment.  

Friday 7th February

Arrived for my first full 1 hour observation. I arrived at about 5:40 and it was turning dark quickly and the street lights did not come on until 6pm. It was extremely cold, windy and quiet here tonight. The only people I observed staying within the area were one young kissing couple, who were sitting on the tiered block, and the occasional group of tourist who came to take photos of the old town which looks amazing from this area at night. There was also a constant stream of people walking through the precinct either heading into princess street or taking the flight of steps that heads up towards the old town. I did not unfortunately observe anything of interest at this time.
